Career in Private Sector Vs Public Sector
When it comes to building a career in India, job seekers often find themselves in a dilemma of choosing between the private sector and the public sector. If you are confused yourself, then this blog will be able to help you out.

Public Sector
Government jobs are quite popular in India, there is no question about it. The following are some of the reasons why:

  • Pension: A government job ensures that when you retire, then you start receiving a monthly pension that can help make old age easier and comfortable.
  • Housing: Many of the government jobs provide free housing. So, if you don’t have a house of your own, then a government job can save you lots of money that you would otherwise pay in rent or home loan EMIs.
  • Good Pay: After the implementation of the 6th pay commission, the government jobs now offer much better salaries than before.
Private Sector
Getting a government job is not easy. Even unpopular jobs like peons and assistants face massive competition. Plus, the pay isn’t as high as private jobs which is why many youngsters still prefer the private sector.
The following are some of the reasons to consider for starting a career in the private sector:
  • Work Culture: The work culture in the private sector is more vibrant and fun than the government sector. You get to work with some of the most interesting and talented people. Plus, there are fun company events and celebrations that you can also participate in.
  • Salary: If you are willing to work hard, the sky is the limit for salary. If you have a bachelor’s degree, then you can also get an MBA to get Rs. 12 lakhs to 20 lakhs annual package easily.
  • Job Opportunities: Private sector gives you flexibility in jobs in a way that the government sector can’t. This is because it allows you to switch companies easily or get a job overseas after a few years of experience.
Whether you want to start a career in the private sector or public sector, increasing your qualification is always a good idea. For instance, you can consider getting an MBA degree. We are providing one from a UK university at an affordable price. Click here to learn more.
