₹450 cr Invested by Amazon in India Payments Unit

According to regulatory documents, Amazon invested ₹450 crore in its payments unit in India i.e. Amazon Pay recently. They said that 45 crore shares of ₹10 each were allotted by Amazon Pay (India) to Amazon Corporate Holdings which makes the total amount stand at ₹450 crores.

Amazon’s investment in its payments service comes at a time other leaders like Google Pay, Paytm, etc. are also looking to boost their business in the digital payments market in the country which is expanding at an impressive rate.
