1400+ Bad Loan Accounts Owe Banks Rs. 100 cr

The data shared by the finance ministry recently reveals that about 1,463 bad loan accounts have to repay 21 public sector banks (PSB) a combined amount of Rs. 100 crores or even more.

The largest PSB lender State Bank of India (SBI) alone has 265 bad loan accounts that are costing it Rs. 100 crore or more each, totalling Rs. 77,538 crores. The second largest lender Punjab National Bank has 143 such accounts that amount to Rs. 45,973 crores combined.
