2 Lakh Differently-Abled to Benefit from West Bengal Scheme, Says Mamta Banerjee
Today, on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee said the state’s “Manobik” scheme will benefit around 2 lakh differently-abled people. She said that those who have 40% or more disability can avail a monthly pension of ₹1,000 under the scheme, adding that the government has disbursed a corpus of ₹250 crores for the same already.

The Manobik scheme was launched earlier this year for the differently-abled populace in West Bengal.
