Over 28 Lakh e-way Bills Generated in Two Weeks

Since the day when the registration window for the new e-way bills was opened, which was January 16, 2018, as many as 28.4 lakh bills have been generated as of January 31. Out of these, around 3.4 lakh were generated on January 30 alone.
The e-way bills are required for the interstate transportation of goods of value Rs. 5,000 and above and across a distance of 10 km under the GST regime.
Highlighting the large generation of e-way bills on January 30, GST Network chief Prakash Kumar said that they expect the momentum to continue ahead as well.
