30% of Agriculture Budget Reserved for Women Farmers: Radha Mohan Singh

Radha Mohan Singh, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, said on this Wednesday that 30% of the agriculture budget will be spent on the women farmers of the country through a variety of development activities and the ongoing government schemes.
Mohan said that the ministry is going to focus on women oriented self-help groups that can help them connect to the microcredit facility through capacity building activities and make a contribution in the decision-making bodies through direct representation.
