40 bn USD for Second Vision Fund to be Committed by SoftBank

According to the Wall Street Journal, SoftBank Group Corp is to invest 40 billion USD in the upcoming Vision Fund. The decision regarding the commitment will be made today during a meeting of the conglomerate’s board.

The first Vision Fund was launched with a value of 100 billion USD and had the backing of 60 billion USD from sovereign wealth funds of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. The second fund has investment commitments from Standard Chartered Plc and Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
