54,000 Homebuyers Received Interest Subsidy Under CLSS

A senior official from the ministry of housing and urban affairs said that as many as 54,000 individuals have received interest subsidy under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) so far.
The government recently extended the interest subsidy on home loans under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) to the Middle Income Group (MIG) beneficiaries by 15 more months till March 2019. In total, about 26 lakh houses and an investment of Rs. 1.39 lakh crore has been approved for the scheme to this date.
