75% of Private Jobs for Locals Reserved by Andhra Pradesh

In a first, Andhra Pradesh reserved 75% of jobs in private factories and industrial units for locals. The reservation will be granted irrespective of the government offering financial assistance.
This Monday, Andhra Pradesh Employment of Local Candidates in Industries/Factories Act, 2019 was passed by the state government which now allows for 75% reservation in private jobs in various categories. A report has also claimed that in case the industries aren’t able to find professionals with relevant skills, then they will need to train the locals with aid from the government.
