93 Products from China Attract Anti-Dumping Duty

As many as 93 products that are imported from China including machinery items, chemicals, etc. have been charged with the anti-dumping duty, Nirmala Sitaraman, Commerce Industry Minister, said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha. She also mentioned that the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties has initiated 40 additional cases regarding Chinese imports.
Anti-dumping duty is levied to protect the domestic industry from cheaper imports that may get an unfair advantage. So, it helps to level the playing field for both domestic and foreign players.
