99 FDI Proposals Pending, Informs Nirmala Sitaraman

Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who was extending a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, said that about 99 proposals of Foreign Direct Investments are pending with various ministries out of which 48 are directed to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) alone.

Sitaraman added that 14 proposals are pending with the department of pharmaceuticals, 13 with the department of economic affairs, 8 with the department of telecommunications, and 5 with the ministry of Home Affairs. She also said the standard procedure for processing the FDI proposals was initiated in June.
