Aadhaar Mandatory for AMCs’ Clients from January, Says BSE

As per the new anti-money laundering rules, asset management companies (AMC) are required to obtain their clients’ Aadhaar numbers from January next year, India’s top stock exchange BSE said.

As per the rules, each client who is eligible for Aadhaar has to submit the same to their AMC. If they have already applied for it, then they have to submit a proof of application. However, if they are not eligible, then they have to submit their PAN or Form number 60 instead.
