Allahabad Bank Focuses on MUDRA, SMEs for Business Growth

State-run Allahabad Bank is planning to target MUDRA, SME, and other loan categories to give a boost to its business growth. It’s also aiming to improve the recovery of dues, a senior executive said.

Allahabad Bank CEO and MD Usha Ananthasubramanian said that the bank is now going to emphasize on SMART (Small, Micro, Agriculture, and Retail) loans, including the Startup India and MUDRA loans. She also pointed out its key strengths which included stable NIM, strong CASA base, and good control over the fresh NPAs.
