Amazon Raked in 10 bn USD From Advertisements in 2018

Top online retailer Amazon generated a whopping revenue of 10 billion USD from the advertising side of its business in 2018. According to its fourth-quarter results that were published recently, it made 72 billion USD in sales from its e-commerce website thus marking a 20% growth on a year-over-year basis.
Amazon’s net profit was 3 billion USD compared to 1.9 billion USD from the previous year. However, the advertising segment of its business model showed the best performance as it generated a revenue of 3.4 billion USD which is 95% higher than the previous year.
