Amitabh Kant Proposes Increasing Limit on Loans Granted Through OTP-Based eKYC
In a bid to create a strong digital lending ecosystem, NITI Aayog Chief Amitabh Kant has proposed that the maximum amount of loan granted through one time password-based eKYC verification should be increased. He said that at present, it’s capped at ₹60,000 although one can get a loan up to ₹3.5 lakhs through other digital modes. He also suggested that credit cards can also be issued with OTP-based eKYC verification.
