Apple acquires start-up named Next VR

Tech giant Apple acquired a start-up named Next VR that provides sports and other content for virtual reality headsets. This will help the tech giant’s development of VR and AR headsets by collaborating software and content.

Next, VR provides the content to several existing Virtual Reality headsets, including Facebook, HTC Corp, and Lenovo. Next, VR has a deal with sports associations and sports leagues as well.

Apple stated it buys smaller technology firms from time to time and commonly does not speak its reason or plans. The company didn’t disclose a purchase price, however, internet site 9to5Mac reported in April that Apple was in talks to acquire Next VR for approximately $100 million.
