Arun Jaitley Says Efforts Made to Lower the Cost of Digital Transactions

To encourage more and more people to use the digital modes of payments, the Reserve Bank of India as well as the Centre has taken several steps to lower the cost of digitals transactions, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.

Jaitley was present at an event to inaugurate Vijaya Bank’s 100 branches, 100 ATMs, and 100 digital villages when he said that villages need to go digital as the cash mode of payments is often insecure. He added that to encourage that system we must create more touch points and let the digital modes of payments penetrate the villages of India as well.
