Asian Development Bank, Indian Government Sign $300 Million Loan to Promote Fiscal Reforms in WB

The union government of India along with Asian Development Bank has signed a $300 million loan to carry on the fiscal reforms in West Bengal that will improve the quality of the public services in the state.

Joint Secretary of Department of Economic Affairs, Sameer Kumar Khare, who signed the loan on behalf of the central government, said that the program is aimed at deepening the reforms with the main focus on the improvement in revenue administration, expenditure rationalization, and growth of more private investment in the state.
