Assam to Present Budget “digitally” via Google Play

In a first, the Assam government had decided to table its first budget in the Assembly “electronically”.
State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the government will present its first “e-Budget” this Monday and a tablet containing the budgetary details will be offered to each legislator.
Sarma said that the budget details will also be available on an app on the Google Play store. In addition to that, media executives will be offered a pen drive containing the details of the budget as well.
