ATMs to be in Demand Again in Few Months: NCR Corporation

NCR Corporation, which is the largest player in the ATMs business in India, said that the demand for these machines may pick up in the next 3-4 months.
A senior executive from NCR said that the minor setback experienced due to the “note-ban” last year shall be overcome shortly.
NCR is also expecting an increased usage of the point of sale (PoS) terminals in the retail industry.
NCR’s head of corporate communications, Rakesh Aulaya, said that most of the ATMs were installed about 8-10 years ago and are about to complete their lifecycle. Since they would need to be replaced now, the demand will automatically increase.
