Attention Needed for Acceptance Infrastructure, Paper Use, Says Central Bank Report

This Tuesday, central bank RBI issued a report on Benchmarking India’s Payments Systems which compared the payments services in India with those in other top economies. It said that there has been massive growth in digital infrastructure in terms of mobile networks as well as ePayments by the government. It also said that efforts are required by the nation to increase acceptance infrastructure for digital payments to push the digital economy. This is in line with RBI’s Payments Vision Report 2021.
