Axis Bank to Launch 350-400 New Branches

A top bank official said that the private sector bank called Axis Bank is likely to add 350 to 400 new branches to its network in the current financial year. Last year, it added 400 branches, they said.
Axis Bank’s executive director of retail banking Rajiv Anand said that the bank has 3,800 branches today. Since digitalisation is slower in semi-urban and rural areas, the bank needs to have branches in such areas, he said.
