Banking Unions Declare Strike on December 27, Demand Wage Revision from IDBI Bank

The All India Bank Officers’ Association (AIBOA) and All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) have announced a strike on December 27 to protest IDBI’s unwillingness to increase the wages of IDBI employees.

Both unions unanimously said that have taken the issue of wage-revision with the IDBI Bank management as well as the central government time and again to no avail.

IDBI Bank employees had gone on a two-day strike earlier in October as well with the same demand. Their wage-revision has reportedly been pending since 1.11.2012.
