BSNL Launches Mobile Wallet for 100 Million Customers

In a partnership with MobiKwik, Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today launched a mobile wallet service that will allow its over 100 million subscribers to pay their bills easily.

As per BSNL’s statement, the introduction of the digital wallet is one of its efforts to take digital payments to the semi-urban and rural areas of the country. The telecom giant also said that it’s the largest wallet in India given the fact it has more than 1.5 million merchants on the network.

The BSNL wallet app will allow the subscribers to shop, pay for recharges, book train tickets, etc.
