Budget 2019: MSMEs to Get Dedicated Payments Platform

The first budget of the re-elected NDA government and of Nirmala Sitharaman who is the new finance minister and also the first-ever full-time female finance minister focuses a lot on the MSME sector. A dedicated payments platform for the small businesses and various schemes that can give a boost to Micro Small and Medium Enterprises have been announced.
MSMEs will get a payment platform to facilitate e-filing and payment of bills. MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari also announced the development of an e-commerce platform similar to Amazon and Flipkart for the sale of goods from MSMEs and Khadi and Village Industries Commission.
