Central Bank to Roll Our Literacy Drive in 9 States

In a bid to educate the people on insurance products, e-transactions, formal borrowings, etc. the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is planning to launch a financial literacy drive on a pilot basis in 9 states that will cover as many as 80 blocks.
The pilot project will be rolled out in partnership with multiple banks and six NGOs, which are PACE Foundation, Samarpit, Indian School of Micro Finance for Women (ISMW), Swadhaar Finaccess, Dhan Foundation, and CRISIL Foundation.
The pilot project will span across three years and is estimated to cost Rs. 18.40 crores.
