China to Recycle Metal E-Waste up to $24 bn by 2030, Says Greenpeace
According to the projections by Greenpeace, China’s consumption of recyclable metals in laptops, smartphones, and desktops will double to a whopping 24 billion USD by 2030. The fast-growing economy is actively promoting the recycling of e-waste to limit dependence on imports, cut costs, and make the environment safer.

Environmental group Greenpeace issued a report in association with the China Association of Electronics for Technology Development in which it said that China’s economic value of recyclable metals in electronics will reach 160 billion yuan (23.96 billion USD) by 2030 compared to 66.4 billion Yuan in 2018.
