Clix Capital May Invest Rs. 800 cr in Catholic Syrian Bank

Clix Capital is currently in talks to invest as much as Rs. 800 crores in the Catholic Syrian Bank which is based in Kerala, for a minority stake. However, according to sources an investment of more than 5% would require an approval from the RBI first.

It’s worth noting that holding company Fairfax was also in talks with the private sector bank earlier, but the deal fell through over valuation differences.

Clix Capital is a commercial leasing and lending firm that’s promoted by Anil Chawla, former GE Capital head, and Pramod Bhasin, founder of Genpact.
