Coastal Economic Zones to Get New Framework Soon

In a recent reply to the Right to Information Act, the shipping ministry said that it’s looking to draft a comprehensive framework for the setting up of coastal economic zones (CEZ) in consultation with the states.
The ministry said that the Center is taking inputs from various stakeholders like the central line ministries, state governments, etc. and based on these the framework will be created soon. It said that the framework is in the initial stages and challenges for the same are currently being discussed.
