Commerce Ministry to Draft National Strategy for Product Standards

The commerce ministry has started working on a roadmap for the standardization of products and services in the country that will help level the playing field for the domestic businesses.

The Department of Commerce has already issued a draft Indian National Strategy for Standardisation and now awaits feedback from the market stakeholders until the end of the month.

The ministry said that the reform will support the “Make in India” initiative by setting dynamic and harmonized standards for the goods and services sold in the country.
