Infosys executive Nandan Nilekani said on Tuesday that the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated the pattern of digitization and packed it from years to weeks.

Talking at a virtual media occasion, Nilekani said that the digitization pattern has accelerated as kids are presently utilizing internet learning and wellbeing administrations have gone online among others. He said the Covid circumstance compacted the compressed digital pattern from years to weeks.

Nilekani said the pattern of consumerization of innovation which began in 2007 saw the cell phone become the vehicle of progress. He said the patterns which are arising out of the buyer side of innovation are infiltrating huge organizations.

“For quite a while, ventures were driving mechanical advancement. With the appearance of the iPhone in 2007 and in this manner the Android working framework, the cell phone turned into the fundamental motor of development which prompted consumerisation of innovation,” Nilekani said.

Many organizations are working with older operating systems and challenge is to cross the product chasm which can be fixed by on a very basic level reinventing the enterprise.
