IT Dept. Conducts Bitcoin Survey Across Country

In light of the reports regarding Bitcoin-supported tax evasion, the income tax (IT) department surveyed several Bitcoin exchanges across the nation, sources said.
They said that under the guidance of the Bengaluru investigation wing of the IT department, multiple teams paid a visit to nine different Bitcoin exchanges in Delhi, Kochi, Gurugram, Hyderabad, etc.
The survey was conducted as per section 133A of the Income Tax Act.
