IT Dept Nudged to Meet Tax Collection Target of Rs. 10 Trillion

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has asked the income tax department to step up their game to meet the new collection target of Rs. 10.05 trillion for the coming fiscal.
In the 2018-19 Union Budget, the center had hiked the original collection target of Rs. 9.9 trillion to Rs. 10.05 trillion. To achieve the same, the CBDT has increased the targets of select zones that have shown good performance.
