Digital Infrastructure Key to Reviving India’s Economy, Says Nandan Nilekani

This Monday, co-founder of Infosys Technologies Nandan Nilekani said that India’s digital infrastructure will play a huge role in the economic growth of the country. He was present at a National Executive Committee Meeting when he said that online payments and Aadhaar-based KYC have brought dramatic transformation, and that business revival is expected on the back of digital data architecture.

Nilekani said that Aadhaar e-KYC has made lives simpler and that direct benefit transfers (DBT) can revive the power sector. He also said that GST has brought more entities under the tax ambit.
