Digital Transactions to be Extended to all Co-operative Banks by March 2018

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said that today the Unified Payments Interface channel is available to all the public sector and majority of private sector banks. However, by March 2018 the ecosystem will be extended to all the co-operative banks as well.

A.P. Hota., Managing Director, NPCI, said that tech giants such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Google have expressed interested in incorporating the UPI service in their platforms which will give a huge impetus to the digital transactions in the country.
