Divorced Daughters to Soon Receive Financial Aid from Centre

As per a recent report by a top news agency, the Narendra Modi government has decided to introduce a “gender and religion neutral reform”. Under this, daughters that are divorced will be able to receive financial aid from her family’s pension scheme. This will apply even if the divorce is not finalized.
Minister of State for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region Jitendra Singh said that earlier, the financial benefit was offered to the divorcees only when the divorce was finalized and the parents had not expired.
