Do This if You Haven’t Received Income Tax Refund

If you have paid more tax to the government than what you are liable for, then you claim a refund. You can usually get it by filing the income tax return i.e. ITR. In case you haven’t received the same even after several months, then you can take the following steps:
- Log in to your account on the eFiling portal i.e. www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
- Open “My Account” menu and click “service request” link
- Select “New Request” in “Request Type” and select “Request Reissue” as “Refund Category”. Click “submit”
- Details of your account viz. PAN, return type, etc. are given
- Click “Submit” and enter EVC code to finish the process
- A success message will display on the screen confirming request submission
