E-Commerce Players and Recruiters Partner with CIBIL to Share User Data

For an average Indian buying a new iPhone or landing a new job is to become more complicated as employee-screening companies and e-tailers have joined hands with the Credit Information Bureau India Limited, and will consider the data shared by the bureau before making decisions.

An e-commerce company can now request CIBIL for credit screening when a customer submits an EMI application for a commodity. This will make it easier for them to assess the applications and make the process faster. Similarly, employers or recruitment companies can refer to the CIBIL reports of the job applicants to screen them using additional metrics and factors such as the history of disputes, loan defaulting, etc.
