Ecommerce to Become 200 bn USD Industry by 2027 Not 2026: Morgan Stanley

According to Morgan Stanley, India’s ecommerce industry is now projected to clock 200 billion USD in 2027 instead of the previous forecast of 2026. This is mainly because of the new FDI rules that were released in December last year and the emergence of offline to online model, it said.
The top financial services company said that the new regulations will impede the growth of ecommerce sector as some of the top players are now restructuring their business models, processes, and contracts to be compliant with the changes.
