Election Commission, RBI Have no Information on Bonds for Political Parties: RTI Reply

As per a recent RTI reply, neither the Election Commissions nor the Reserve Bank of India has any information on the electoral bonds that were announced some 9 months ago for the political parties’ funding.
In the reply, the central bank said it has “no information to furnish”.
On February 1, finance minister Arun Jaitley had announced electoral bonds that could be purchased by a donor from select banks but through digital payments or cheques only.
