Facebook fell out of the top 10 best global brands

According to Interbrand’s “Best Global Brands 2019” report, Facebook has slipped down from the top 10 list.
What’s the story?

Facebook had a tough year due to its privacy issues and security driving consumer choice.

Facebook’s reputation on these issues has taken a major stab than the other companies who has been scrutinised over privacy issues. It is struggling to hold a trustworthy position among its users.

In the past, specifically in the year, 2012 Facebook entered the Global Brands report at 69th position and within 5 years of time, it boosts its position to 7th position in 2017. This year it ranked at 14th position in Global Brands Report.

Apart from Facebook, other brands that topped the list in numerical order are Apple, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.
