Facebook Stored Passwords in Plain Text on Servers, Admits
This Thursday, social media giant Facebook admitted to storing millions of passwords in plain text on its internal servers, a security risk which granted its employees an opportunity to read the passwords. However, it has maintained that the passwords were never visible to the people who weren’t a part of the company. It also said that it’s found no evidence of an employee using the data improperly or in an abusive manner.
