Filing ITR to Get Easier with Pre-Filled Forms

Taxpayers can now look forward to a simplified and easier filing of Income Tax Returns as the Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) Sushil Chandra announced that the forms might soon be available “pre-filled”.
Chandra said that the IT department will auto-fill several details of the taxpayers in the forms including their income, personal details, etc. The users would only need to approve these details to proceed. This will save time and allow the department to process the returns faster.
