Finance Officials Across the Globe Emphasize Benefits of Free Trade

Most of the world’s major economies are united in their opinion that free trade is beneficial for a healthy economy growth. However, they also believe that there is a lot to be done for those who are left behind.
German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said in a public appearance that if more is not done then it’s possible that left out countries will retreat from globalization and lean towards protectionism.
Schaeuble was speaking with the reporters this Friday as the talks among central bank presidents and finance ministers from the Group of 20 major world economies came to an end. The finance officials who were present agreed that world economy will improve this year. However, Schaeuble raised his concerns regarding the decision by the world’s central banks to end the easy money policy.
