FinMin Asks PSBs to Provide Clean Toilets to Customers

Pushing the union government’s “Swachh Bharat” mission further, the finance ministry recently directed all public-sector insurance companies and banks to dedicate the CSR funds towards the mission and provide access to clean toilets to their customers at their bank branches.

Rajiv Kumar, Department of Financial Services (DFS) Secretary, tweeted that all branches of insurance companies and PSBs have to provide access to clean toilets to customers and dedicate CSR funds to Swacch Bharat in FY19.

As of today, there are 6 state-owned insurance companies and 21 PSBs that have 1.25 lakh branches combined.
