Food Processing Sector to Receive 1 bn USD This Fiscal, Says Harsimrat Kaur Badal

Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the food processing sector is expected to receive as much as 1 billion US Dollars in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the current financial year. This would mark a rise of 38% in the net FDI received.
Kaur said that investment proposals received during the “World Food India 2017” event that amount to USD 14 billion are now being considered to be translated into actual investments.
