Former RBI Chief Raghuram Rajan Says Won’t Apply for Bank of England Job

Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan said that he is not interested in applying for the Bank of England governor job which is to become vacant next year.

Rajan said that he already has a job at the University of Chicago which he is happy with. He said that he is more of an academic than a professional central banker.

Rajan was mentioned as a possible BoE governor by analysts after current position holder Mark Caney completes his term in June 2019.
