Google Maps new look as it turns 15, the app seeks business

Google Maps launched a new design that requests the users to share reviews and pictures they visit, seeking to expand its data in the area with the help of different apps like Zomato, TripAdvisor and Yelp.

Google said in a BlogSpot, “On 15th anniversary of Google Maps a contribute tab to the menu at the bottom of the app is added”.

TripAdvisor have persuaded antitrust inquiries into whether Google has inappropriately used its power in search to make its tools famous, such as restaurant comparison. TripAdvisor said, “maps redesign efforts is something antitrust enforcers should inspect closely”.

Google said it answered to user feedback to make sharing easier for millions of people who submit data every year.

According to the sources, Google has spent billions of dollars from its search ads business to digitally map the globe and connecting 1 billion users every month to its free navigation app.
