Government to Connect Panchayats with Private Companies for Rural Economy Growth

To promote economic activities and the average quality of life in the rural areas, the government is planning to link village panchayats with private companies.
Aiming to benefit one crore rural families, the government has already selected 50,000 gram panchayats across the nation which have active women self-help groups, satisfactory banking infrastructure, and residents with savings deposit accounts required to carry out the ambitious initiative.
A senior official said under Mission Antyodaya, Amarjeet Sinha, Rural Development Secretary has given a presentation to some companies on how they can benefit from working with gram panchayats.
