Government to Build Largest National Data Centre in Bhopal

IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that as the government plans to expand its BPO promotion scheme to 1 lakh seats, it will soon establish India’s largest National data center in Bhopal.

Prasad, who was attending a conference highlighting the feats of the IT and Electronics Ministry said that the government will increase the number of seats under the BPO promotion scheme from current 48,000 to 1 lakh that will create new job opportunities especially for those living in smaller towns. He said that BPOs will soon start in smaller cities like Gazipur and Gaya.
